Question 1

Was $8,600 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

175 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,400, spanning $3,500 to $11,100. At $8,600 this one went 34% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - AVENEL. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 20 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS listings at auction averaged 126,611 miles across 175 sales, so at 20 miles this one sits 100% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with all over damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS was listed at IAAI as lot 43028735 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
