Question 1

This MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WA - AUBURN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 60 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 128,261 miles high for a 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS listings at auction averaged 121,799 miles across 104 sales, so at 128,261 miles this one sits 5% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN WD3PG2EAXH3273801?

Accepted Answer

Question 6

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS was listed at IAAI as lot 43096294 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
