Question 1

Was $57,500 a good price for this 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1221 comparable 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $21,900, spanning $12,200 to $38,000. At $57,500 this one went 163% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $99,613. It sold for $57,500 — 42% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a permit salvage mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS was sold on a permit salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS has vandalism and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 1 miles high for a 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings at auction averaged 59,077 miles across 1221 sales, so at 1 miles this one sits 100% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
