Question 1

What do rear end 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 97 recorded sales of the 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS with rear end damage, the median was $25,250, from $17,100 to $39,500. That is 8% above the $23,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $18,700 a good price for this 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

995 comparable 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $23,300, spanning $12,400 to $35,800. At $18,700 this one went 20% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $63,885. It sold for $18,700 — 71% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NY - LONG ISLAND. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 7,334 miles high for a 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings at auction averaged 47,506 miles across 995 sales, so at 7,334 miles this one sits 85% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
