Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 144 recorded sales of the 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $12,200, from $9,500 to $22,100. That is 34% above the $9,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $14,000 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1546 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $9,100, spanning $5,450 to $14,600. At $14,000 this one went 54% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a cert of title-salvage mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS was sold on a cert of title-salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in VA - RICHMOND. The nearest major vehicle export port is Norfolk, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 50,554 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE-CLASS listings at auction averaged 92,584 miles across 1546 sales, so at 50,554 miles this one sits 45% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
