Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 154 recorded sales of the 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $11,700, from $7,800 to $21,900. That is 36% above the $8,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $13,900 a good price for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

1506 comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings sold at auction for a median of $8,600, spanning $4,650 to $14,100. At $13,900 this one went 62% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - ORLANDO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 72,746 miles high for a 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings at auction averaged 101,438 miles across 1506 sales, so at 72,746 miles this one sits 28% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
