Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 143 recorded sales of the 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $12,100, from $9,600 to $22,000. That is 33% above the $9,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,900 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

1562 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings sold at auction for a median of $9,100, spanning $5,400 to $14,500. At $10,900 this one went 20% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE has minor dent/scratches and mechanical damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - EAST GRANBY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 120,850 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings at auction averaged 92,702 miles across 1562 sales, so at 120,850 miles this one sits 30% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
