Question 1

What do front end 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 767 recorded sales of the 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE with front end damage, the median was $8,000, from $4,250 to $12,500. That is 7% below the $8,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,700 a good price for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

1506 comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings sold at auction for a median of $8,600, spanning $4,650 to $14,100. At $10,700 this one went 24% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE's pre-damage retail value at $18,788. It sold for $10,700 — 43% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE has front end and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 79,120 miles high for a 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings at auction averaged 101,438 miles across 1506 sales, so at 79,120 miles this one sits 22% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
