Question 1

What do rear end 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 130 recorded sales of the 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE with rear end damage, the median was $9,100, from $5,700 to $14,900. That is 11% above the $8,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,700 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

1650 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings sold at auction for a median of $8,200, spanning $4,650 to $13,800. At $7,700 this one went 6% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE's pre-damage retail value at $14,665. It sold for $7,700 — 47% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

Is 104,470 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings at auction averaged 113,582 miles across 1650 sales, so at 104,470 miles this one sits 8% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in WA - SPANAWAY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 60 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
