Question 1

What do front end 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 705 recorded sales of the 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE with front end damage, the median was $7,613, from $4,100 to $12,400. That is 7% below the $8,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,950 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

1631 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings sold at auction for a median of $8,200, spanning $4,650 to $13,900. At $3,950 this one went 52% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE's pre-damage retail value at $15,667. It sold for $3,950 — 75% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE has front end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 88,747 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings at auction averaged 113,419 miles across 1631 sales, so at 88,747 miles this one sits 22% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
