What do front end 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE models sell for?

Across 780 recorded sales of the 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE with front end damage, the median was $8,400, from $5,100 to $13,400. That is 8% below the $9,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $8,500 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

1546 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings sold at auction for a median of $9,100, spanning $5,450 to $14,600. At $8,500 this one went 7% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE sell for?

The insurer put this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE's pre-damage retail value at $16,658. It sold for $8,500 — 49% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE from an export port?

The lot sat at COPART in CA - BAKERSFIELD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 220,406 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings at auction averaged 92,584 miles across 1546 sales, so at 220,406 miles this one sits 138% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
