Question 1

What do front end 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 727 recorded sales of the 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE with front end damage, the median was $7,600, from $4,100 to $12,000. That is 6% below the $8,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,550 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

1683 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings sold at auction for a median of $8,100, spanning $4,550 to $13,500. At $4,550 this one went 44% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE's pre-damage retail value at $16,787. It sold for $4,550 — 73% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 61,210 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE listings at auction averaged 114,086 miles across 1683 sales, so at 61,210 miles this one sits 46% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
