Question 1

Was $6,000 a good price for this 2020 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC?

Accepted Answer

1133 comparable 2020 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC listings sold at auction for a median of $10,000, spanning $5,600 to $15,100. At $6,000 this one went 40% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLC sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ GLC?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLC from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in KS - PARK CITY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ GLC has repossession and right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 209,172 miles high for a 2020 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC listings at auction averaged 71,150 miles across 1133 sales, so at 209,172 miles this one sits 194% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
