Question 1

What do front end 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 335 recorded sales of the 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC with front end damage, the median was $5,700, from $3,650 to $8,300. That is 8% below the $6,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,000 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC?

Accepted Answer

825 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC listings sold at auction for a median of $6,200, spanning $3,900 to $8,800. At $8,000 this one went 29% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ GLC sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC's pre-damage retail value at $14,860. It sold for $8,000 — 46% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ GLC from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NC - GASTONIA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 280 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 87,195 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC listings at auction averaged 110,651 miles across 825 sales, so at 87,195 miles this one sits 21% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
