Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 27 recorded sales of the 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $5,850, from $4,550 to $7,500. That is 10% above the $5,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $18,500 a good price for this 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

264 comparable 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,300, spanning $4,150 to $7,500. At $18,500 this one went 249% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a cert of title or salvage acq (p) mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a cert of title or salvage acq (p). A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - ANTELOPE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 135,586 miles high for a 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 99,207 miles across 264 sales, so at 135,586 miles this one sits 37% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS has minor dent/scratches and normal wear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
