Question 1

What do side 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 19 recorded sales of the 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with side damage, the median was $5,200, from $4,200 to $8,800. That is 2% below the $5,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,600 a good price for this 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

207 comparable 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,300, spanning $4,150 to $7,200. At $4,600 this one went 13% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a cert of title-salvage vehicle mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a cert of title-salvage vehicle. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MI - DETROIT. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 122,811 miles high for a 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 100,848 miles across 207 sales, so at 122,811 miles this one sits 22% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
