Question 1

What do rear end 2019 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 94 recorded sales of the 2019 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS with rear end damage, the median was $13,100, from $6,100 to $18,600. That is 24% above the $10,563 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $17,300 a good price for this 2019 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1100 comparable 2019 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $10,563, spanning $5,300 to $16,700. At $17,300 this one went 64% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $41,000. It sold for $17,300 — 58% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

Is 42,582 miles high for a 2019 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 70,260 miles across 1100 sales, so at 42,582 miles this one sits 39% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS has rear end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
