Question 1

Was $9,775 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

1369 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $9,300, spanning $5,100 to $14,800. At $9,775 this one went 5% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $32,247. It sold for $9,775 — 70% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does "Stationary" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Stationary is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

This MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS has front end and mechanical damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 77,149 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 79,623 miles across 1369 sales, so at 77,149 miles this one sits 3% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was Hanover Insurance. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
