Question 1

Was $6,500 a good price for this 2011 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

21 comparable 2011 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,525, spanning $4,000 to $6,000. At $6,500 this one went 44% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a cert of title or salvage acq (p) mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2011 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS was sold on a cert of title or salvage acq (p). A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - RANCHO CUCAMONGA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2011 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 125,170 miles high for a 2011 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2011 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS listings at auction averaged 104,973 miles across 21 sales, so at 125,170 miles this one sits 19% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2011 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with normal wear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
