Question 1

Was $3,550 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ CLA-KLASSE?

Accepted Answer

407 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ CLA-KLASSE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,100, spanning $3,200 to $6,400. At $3,550 this one went 13% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ CLA-KLASSE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - PERRIS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ CLA-KLASSE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 111,233 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ CLA-KLASSE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ CLA-KLASSE listings at auction averaged 97,661 miles across 407 sales, so at 111,233 miles this one sits 14% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ CLA-KLASSE has left rear and suspension damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Did this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ CLA-KLASSE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
