Question 1

Was $9,450 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

2101 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,000, spanning $3,350 to $8,125. At $9,450 this one went 89% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $26,783. It sold for $9,450 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "Stationary" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Stationary is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS has front end and front & rear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 48,137 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings at auction averaged 100,602 miles across 2101 sales, so at 48,137 miles this one sits 52% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
