Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2023 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 23 recorded sales of the 2023 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $21,000, from $16,900 to $24,500. That is 21% above the $17,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $34,000 a good price for this 2023 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

822 comparable 2023 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $17,400, spanning $8,400 to $25,150. At $34,000 this one went 95% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $52,440. It sold for $34,000 — 35% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 1,158 miles high for a 2023 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings at auction averaged 30,310 miles across 822 sales, so at 1,158 miles this one sits 96% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2023 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with minor dent/scratches damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
