Question 1

What do all over 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 34 recorded sales of the 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS with all over damage, the median was $7,500, from $4,150 to $9,300. That is 12% above the $6,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,300 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

2164 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,700, spanning $4,000 to $10,600. At $9,300 this one went 39% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $18,976. It sold for $9,300 — 51% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 99,879 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings at auction averaged 83,157 miles across 2164 sales, so at 99,879 miles this one sits 20% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does a cert of salvage > 75% damage mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS was sold on a cert of salvage > 75% damage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
