Question 1

Was $6,200 a good price for this 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

22 comparable 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,750, spanning $4,250 to $5,700. At $6,200 this one went 31% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $16,815. It sold for $6,200 — 63% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a bos - salvage mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS was sold on a bos - salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS has rear end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 94,796 miles high for a 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings at auction averaged 84,211 miles across 22 sales, so at 94,796 miles this one sits 13% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
