Question 1

Was $25,000 a good price for this 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

831 comparable 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $9,900, spanning $4,750 to $14,900. At $25,000 this one went 153% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $39,900. It sold for $25,000 — 37% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a certificate of title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS was sold on a certificate of title. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 38,771 miles high for a 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings at auction averaged 48,139 miles across 831 sales, so at 38,771 miles this one sits 19% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2021 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with normal wear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
