Question 1

What do front end 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1023 recorded sales of the 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS with front end damage, the median was $6,500, from $4,000 to $10,200. That is 3% below the $6,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

2153 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,700, spanning $4,050 to $10,600. At $6,900 this one went 3% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does "ENHANCED VEHICLES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED VEHICLES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AL - DOTHAN. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

What does a cert of title-salvage title mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS was sold on a cert of title-salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
