Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 137 recorded sales of the 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $7,000, from $4,000 to $12,400. That is 13% above the $6,175 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $27,000 a good price for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

2320 comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,175, spanning $3,650 to $10,700. At $27,000 this one went 337% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a certificate of title (p) mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS was sold on a certificate of title (p). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

This MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS has minor dent/scratches and normal wear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 101,129 miles high for a 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings at auction averaged 91,451 miles across 2320 sales, so at 101,129 miles this one sits 11% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
