Question 1

Was $7,250 a good price for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

2330 comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,100, spanning $3,600 to $10,600. At $7,250 this one went 19% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $18,441. It sold for $7,250 — 61% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does "Starts" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Starts is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 70,588 miles high for a 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings at auction averaged 92,364 miles across 2330 sales, so at 70,588 miles this one sits 24% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was New Jersey Manufacturing Group. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with right side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
