Question 1

What do side 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 179 recorded sales of the 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS with side damage, the median was $6,700, from $3,950 to $10,900. That is 10% above the $6,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,850 a good price for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

2319 comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,100, spanning $3,600 to $10,700. At $4,850 this one went 20% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in SC - SPARTANBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a certificate of title (p) mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS was sold on a certificate of title (p). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 6

Is 76,212 miles high for a 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings at auction averaged 91,358 miles across 2319 sales, so at 76,212 miles this one sits 17% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
