Question 1

Was $4,450 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

2099 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,000, spanning $3,350 to $8,200. At $4,450 this one went 11% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does "Starts" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Starts is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

This MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS has front & rear and right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 66,842 miles high for a 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings at auction averaged 100,598 miles across 2099 sales, so at 66,842 miles this one sits 34% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front & rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Who sold this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was Progressive Casualty Insurance. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
