Question 1

Was $10,200 a good price for this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

2101 comparable 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,000, spanning $3,350 to $8,125. At $10,200 this one went 104% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $22,780. It sold for $10,200 — 55% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

Where was this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in Boston - Shirley (MA). Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 4

Who sold this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was Travelers Insurance. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Did this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with unknown damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS was listed at IAAI as lot 34918109 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
