Question 1

Was $12,225 a good price for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

2319 comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,100, spanning $3,600 to $10,700. At $12,225 this one went 100% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS's pre-damage retail value at $31,654. It sold for $12,225 — 61% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a original (texas) mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS was sold on a original (texas). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

This MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS has theft and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 76,205 miles high for a 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS listings at auction averaged 91,358 miles across 2319 sales, so at 76,205 miles this one sits 17% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "Starts" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Starts is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
