Question 1

What do front end 2023 MAZDA MX-5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 52 recorded sales of the 2023 MAZDA MX-5 with front end damage, the median was $6,200, from $3,650 to $10,600. That is 13% below the $7,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,975 a good price for this 2023 MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

111 comparable 2023 MAZDA MX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,100, spanning $3,650 to $11,700. At $10,975 this one went 55% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 MAZDA MX-5 was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this MAZDA MX-5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in AR - LINCOLN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 440 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 MAZDA MX-5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 33,246 miles high for a 2023 MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 MAZDA MX-5 listings at auction averaged 19,995 miles across 111 sales, so at 33,246 miles this one sits 66% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
