Question 1

This MAZDA MX-5 has front & rear and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 2

Is 100,855 miles high for a 2017 MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MAZDA MX-5 listings at auction averaged 60,414 miles across 115 sales, so at 100,855 miles this one sits 67% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 3

Who sold this 2017 MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 4

Did this 2017 MAZDA MX-5 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front & rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN JM1NDAM73H0107725?

Accepted Answer

JM1NDAM73H0107725 identifies this specific 2017 MAZDA MX-5 in red with a 2.0l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, premium , 155hp engine, rear wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 MAZDA MX-5 from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 MAZDA MX-5 was listed at IAAI as lot 46199381 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
