Question 1

Was $3,150 a good price for this 2017 MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

115 comparable 2017 MAZDA MX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,675, spanning $3,300 to $7,300. At $3,150 this one went 33% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA MX-5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 MAZDA MX-5's pre-damage retail value at $11,715. It sold for $3,150 — 73% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage title mean for this MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 MAZDA MX-5 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 MAZDA MX-5. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this MAZDA MX-5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in GA - AUSTELL. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 145,925 miles high for a 2017 MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MAZDA MX-5 listings at auction averaged 60,414 miles across 115 sales, so at 145,925 miles this one sits 142% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
