Question 1

Was $6,700 a good price for this 2025 MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

61 comparable 2025 MAZDA MX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,200 to $14,075. At $6,700 this one went 21% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

This 2025 MAZDA MX-5 was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this MAZDA MX-5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OH - NEW PHILADELPHIA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 430 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2025 MAZDA MX-5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 13,148 miles high for a 2025 MAZDA MX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2025 MAZDA MX-5 listings at auction averaged 6,713 miles across 61 sales, so at 13,148 miles this one sits 96% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This MAZDA MX-5 has left side and all over damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
