Question 1

What do front end 2022 MAZDA CX-9 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 196 recorded sales of the 2022 MAZDA CX-9 with front end damage, the median was $6,000, from $3,550 to $9,200. That is 14% below the $6,950 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,100 a good price for this 2022 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

416 comparable 2022 MAZDA CX-9 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,950, spanning $3,975 to $11,300. At $5,100 this one went 27% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-9 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 MAZDA CX-9's pre-damage retail value at $22,200. It sold for $5,100 — 77% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 MAZDA CX-9. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This MAZDA CX-9 has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 39,950 miles high for a 2022 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 MAZDA CX-9 listings at auction averaged 53,760 miles across 416 sales, so at 39,950 miles this one sits 26% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
