Question 1

What do rear end 2021 MAZDA CX-9 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 52 recorded sales of the 2021 MAZDA CX-9 with rear end damage, the median was $7,300, from $4,950 to $11,100. That is 15% above the $6,338 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,700 a good price for this 2021 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

691 comparable 2021 MAZDA CX-9 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,338, spanning $3,625 to $10,025. At $7,700 this one went 21% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-9 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 MAZDA CX-9's pre-damage retail value at $21,955. It sold for $7,700 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 MAZDA CX-9. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This MAZDA CX-9 has rear end and undercarriage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

What does a salvage title mean for this MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 MAZDA CX-9 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
