Question 1

What do front end 2018 MAZDA CX-9 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 262 recorded sales of the 2018 MAZDA CX-9 with front end damage, the median was $4,350, from $3,200 to $6,400. That is 8% below the $4,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,500 a good price for this 2018 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

660 comparable 2018 MAZDA CX-9 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,750, spanning $3,350 to $7,300. At $3,500 this one went 26% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This MAZDA CX-9 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-9 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 MAZDA CX-9's pre-damage retail value at $13,743. It sold for $3,500 — 75% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MAZDA CX-9 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MAZDA CX-9. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
