Question 1

Was $5,900 a good price for this 2017 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

228 comparable 2017 MAZDA CX-9 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,450, spanning $3,250 to $7,000. At $5,900 this one went 33% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This MAZDA CX-9 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 MAZDA CX-9 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 MAZDA CX-9. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this MAZDA CX-9 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MD - BALTIMORE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 40 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 166,045 miles high for a 2017 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MAZDA CX-9 listings at auction averaged 114,306 miles across 228 sales, so at 166,045 miles this one sits 45% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
