Question 1

What do rear 2023 MAZDA CX-9 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 16 recorded sales of the 2023 MAZDA CX-9 with rear damage, the median was $9,600, from $6,100 to $14,000. That is 16% above the $8,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,100 a good price for this 2023 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

418 comparable 2023 MAZDA CX-9 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,300, spanning $4,550 to $14,000. At $6,100 this one went 27% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 MAZDA CX-9 was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

This MAZDA CX-9 has rear and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 MAZDA CX-9. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 26,704 miles high for a 2023 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 MAZDA CX-9 listings at auction averaged 41,055 miles across 418 sales, so at 26,704 miles this one sits 35% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
