Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2016 MAZDA CX-9 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 26 recorded sales of the 2016 MAZDA CX-9 with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $4,200, from $3,150 to $6,400. That is 1% above the $4,150 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,300 a good price for this 2016 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

440 comparable 2016 MAZDA CX-9 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,150, spanning $3,150 to $6,100. At $3,300 this one went 20% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-9 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MAZDA CX-9's pre-damage retail value at $14,439. It sold for $3,300 — 77% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this MAZDA CX-9 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in UT - MAGNA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 MAZDA CX-9 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Is 157,961 miles high for a 2016 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MAZDA CX-9 listings at auction averaged 119,965 miles across 440 sales, so at 157,961 miles this one sits 32% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
