Question 1

What do front end 2021 MAZDA CX-9 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 331 recorded sales of the 2021 MAZDA CX-9 with front end damage, the median was $5,600, from $3,400 to $8,600. That is 12% below the $6,350 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,000 a good price for this 2021 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

690 comparable 2021 MAZDA CX-9 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,350, spanning $3,625 to $10,100. At $7,000 this one went 10% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-9 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 MAZDA CX-9's pre-damage retail value at $20,428. It sold for $7,000 — 66% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 MAZDA CX-9. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 MAZDA CX-9 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 71,856 miles high for a 2021 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 MAZDA CX-9 listings at auction averaged 66,934 miles across 690 sales, so at 71,856 miles this one sits 7% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
