Question 1

What do side 2018 MAZDA CX-9 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 77 recorded sales of the 2018 MAZDA CX-9 with side damage, the median was $4,850, from $3,600 to $7,700. That is 1% above the $4,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,000 a good price for this 2018 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

615 comparable 2018 MAZDA CX-9 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,800, spanning $3,400 to $7,400. At $4,000 this one went 17% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-9 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 MAZDA CX-9's pre-damage retail value at $14,980. It sold for $4,000 — 73% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this MAZDA CX-9 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - PENNSBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 121,449 miles high for a 2018 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MAZDA CX-9 listings at auction averaged 106,738 miles across 615 sales, so at 121,449 miles this one sits 14% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MAZDA CX-9. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
