Question 1

Was $7,650 a good price for this 2018 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

623 comparable 2018 MAZDA CX-9 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,800, spanning $3,400 to $7,400. At $7,650 this one went 59% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MAZDA CX-9 was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this MAZDA CX-9 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - RANCHO CORDOVA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MAZDA CX-9. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 127,743 miles high for a 2018 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MAZDA CX-9 listings at auction averaged 106,679 miles across 623 sales, so at 127,743 miles this one sits 20% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2018 MAZDA CX-9 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with repossession damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
