Question 1

Was $5,900 a good price for this 2016 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

444 comparable 2016 MAZDA CX-9 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,125, spanning $3,150 to $6,100. At $5,900 this one went 43% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a junk-ok mean for this MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 MAZDA CX-9 was sold on a junk-ok. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 3

How far is this MAZDA CX-9 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OK - TULSA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 450 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$550, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MAZDA CX-9. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 99,296 miles high for a 2016 MAZDA CX-9?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MAZDA CX-9 listings at auction averaged 120,002 miles across 444 sales, so at 99,296 miles this one sits 17% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2016 MAZDA CX-9 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left front damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
