Question 1

What do side 2020 MAZDA CX-5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 218 recorded sales of the 2020 MAZDA CX-5 with side damage, the median was $6,000, from $4,000 to $8,200. That is 9% above the $5,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,500 a good price for this 2020 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

2194 comparable 2020 MAZDA CX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $5,500, spanning $3,600 to $8,200. At $5,500 this one went exactly at that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 MAZDA CX-5's pre-damage retail value at $19,887. It sold for $5,500 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this MAZDA CX-5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MD - BALTIMORE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 40 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This MAZDA CX-5 has side and undercarriage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 49,381 miles high for a 2020 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 MAZDA CX-5 listings at auction averaged 71,206 miles across 2194 sales, so at 49,381 miles this one sits 31% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
