Question 1

What do left side 2018 MAZDA CX-5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 87 recorded sales of the 2018 MAZDA CX-5 with left side damage, the median was $5,000, from $3,350 to $6,250. That is 5% above the $4,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,650 a good price for this 2018 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

2614 comparable 2018 MAZDA CX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,750, spanning $3,450 to $6,850. At $3,650 this one went 23% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this MAZDA CX-5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in VT - ESSEX JUNCTION. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 300 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MAZDA CX-5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 127,230 miles high for a 2018 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MAZDA CX-5 listings at auction averaged 93,431 miles across 2614 sales, so at 127,230 miles this one sits 36% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2018 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was VERMONT MUTUAL INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
