Question 1

What do front end 2016 MAZDA CX-5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 963 recorded sales of the 2016 MAZDA CX-5 with front end damage, the median was $3,438, from $3,050 to $4,150. That is 3% below the $3,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,200 a good price for this 2016 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

2637 comparable 2016 MAZDA CX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $3,550, spanning $3,050 to $4,850. At $3,200 this one went 10% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MAZDA CX-5's pre-damage retail value at $13,000. It sold for $3,200 — 75% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 MAZDA CX-5 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

Is 390,881 miles high for a 2016 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MAZDA CX-5 listings at auction averaged 113,299 miles across 2637 sales, so at 390,881 miles this one sits 245% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This MAZDA CX-5 has front end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
