Question 1

What do front end 2016 MAZDA CX-5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 926 recorded sales of the 2016 MAZDA CX-5 with front end damage, the median was $3,425, from $3,050 to $4,175. That is 4% below the $3,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,500 a good price for this 2016 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

2531 comparable 2016 MAZDA CX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $3,550, spanning $3,050 to $4,850. At $3,500 this one went 1% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MAZDA CX-5's pre-damage retail value at $15,147. It sold for $3,500 — 77% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This MAZDA CX-5 has front end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 86,615 miles high for a 2016 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MAZDA CX-5 listings at auction averaged 113,029 miles across 2531 sales, so at 86,615 miles this one sits 23% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MAZDA CX-5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
